Praise Dance Ministry
(Psalm 149:3)

New Jerusalem Praise Dancers are purposed to teach and minister the Word of God through the ministry of dance.
We believe that in order to dance the word effectively we must study and rightly divide the word of God.
Qualifications and Preparation for Dance Ministry
Spirit, Soul and Body: 1 Peter 2:5 "You also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ."
Prayer: Philippians 4:6 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
Preparation: 2 Timothy 4:2 "be prepared in season and out of season."
The Priestly Garments: Exodus 28:4 "And these are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a broidered coat, a turban, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, and his sons, that he may minister to me in the priest's office."

A church usher is an officer of the church he or she serves. Ushers are forerunners, for they prepare the church for the guests by being the first to arrive at the church; they see that the church is in proper condition to receive the guest; they see that hymnals, fans, church literature, collection envelopes, and any other items that are to be distributed to the congregation are in their proper places. Church ushers are missionaries for the church for they perpetuate the spirit throughout the congregation.

The Children's Ministries Department at New Jerusalem is dedicated to teaching and reaching your family with God's love. The very purpose of each class and program is to teach the exciting and life changing truths found in God's Word and mentor Christ-like characteristics in a safe, fun and age appropriate setting. Many ministry opportunities are made available to children as they learn to share God's love with others. It is our desire to be a prayer partner and resource to families, reinforcing godly values and truths as we work together to build God's Kingdom one life at a time.

ACT 4 Christ Drama Ministry

2 Tim 3:16-17 states, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work”.
1 Tim 4:2 commands us to “Preach the word! … rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching” and v. 12 delineates, “Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”

Therefore, in keeping with these scriptures, our mission is to use theater as a ministry to encourage, instruct, and uplift the body of Christ and to build up a vibrant, enthusiastic group of people on fire for God.

Our vision is to be a vibrant and radical ministry of people who love God and love others and who seek to glorify God through dramatic interpretation and edify His people in a phenomenal, unique, and unforgettable way.

Our ministrations are all scripturally-based and cover most genres of theater including comedy, thriller, suspense, song, dance, and poetry. We explore a variety of themes that portray the reality of Christian living and address issues such as, but not limited to, praise, fear, doubt, mortality, and sexuality.

The Mission
1) To guide people of all ages to Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
2) To introduce Jesus Christ creatively to people of all ages.
3) To plant a seed in hearts and let God take care of the growing.
4) To truthfully portray the Word of God in a creative, effective and touching way.
5) To bring the Scriptures to life in order to advance a person’s understanding of God’s Word.

DEACONS

Deacons Ministry

Mission Statement:   As extended arms of the Pastor, we minister to the congregation as his representatives in matters that will further the growth of the individual member and the corporate body. It is our responsibility to attend to the needs of the members of the church, as related to the spiritual and the temporal needs that may arise. As Deacons, we are passionate in developing a more Christ-like congregation and are committed to the standard of ministry proclaimed by the written and preached Word of God.
Vision Statement:   Serving as extended arms of the Ministry of the Pastor.
Ministry Description:   The Deacon's Ministry is overseen by one co-chairmen and one vice-chairman, while other areas of ministry are assigned a personal Deacon to oversee them. This includes (but not limited to): Visiting the sick & shut-in; overseeing the benevolent needs of the congregation; caring for the church's building and grounds; supervising transportation needs of the congregation; assist in preparing candidates for Baptism; overseeing the security and liaison to the Core Ministries per direction of the Pastor.

DEACONESS

Deaconess Ministry

The mission of the Deaconess Ministry is to meet the needs of the New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, under the spiritual guidance of its Pastor and the Deacons by promoting the spiritual growth in the church.

1 Timothy 8:11 - "Even so must their wives be grave, not slanders, sober, faithful in all things."

The purpose of the Deaconess Ministry is to care for and assist the needs of the overall congregation. Wherever there are sick and shut-in members as well as members in need of prayer, the Deaconess Ministry will be there to help. They will be in contact with all sick members and monitor the prayer list to ensure that members are not alone. They are responsible for the preparation and setting up of Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month. The Deaconess should instruct all female baptismal candidates as to what they are suppose to wear,

Deaconess should possess the following qualities:

1. She must be a follower of Christ also Christ-like, so much that her life will be outstanding and praised by all whom she comes in contact with.
2. She should be a serious minded person, well balanced and one who knows the value of spiritual things, she should be grave, not slanderers, temperate and faithful in all things.
3. She must be familiar with all of the church laws and the doctrines of the church. She should also know the policies and practices of the church so that all of the officers can work in peace and harmony.
4. She should not be a slanderer or given to gossip, she should take part in all of the total program of the church.
5. She should support the Pastor and the vision of the ministry.

The Marriage Enrichment Ministry, under the leadership of Pastor Jackson and Sis. Nakia Jackson is committed to helping couples maintain healthy, godly marriages. Our ministry seeks to provide spiritual and educational enrichment for establishing and maintaining healthy relationships. Couples receive practical tools to strengthen their relationships with God and with each other.

The Audio Video Ministry is a service ministry that spreads the gospel to God’s people and to those who don’t know the lord. This ministry operates and maintains our sound systems and all other equipment associated with the production and duplication of audio or video media used by the ministries of New Jerusalem Baptist Church. We video tape most Special Events and can make, CD's and DVD's available at a nominal cost. The Audio Video Ministry endeavors to provide the best possible audio and video technical support to ministry areas through attentiveness, technological knowledge, and awareness of other ministry goals. This ministry has a passion for using technology as a means of recording and sharing God's Word.

Assisting the Church in reaching the community and congregation using technology to amplify record and share Gods Words.
